Volodymyr Lytvyn: Judgment of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is Positive for the State
Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine names the decision of the Constitutional Court positive regarding the opportunity of certain People´s Deputies of Ukraine to take part in the formation of the coalition of the Deputies factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It was declared by the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament in the course of the interview for "Rada" television channel on Friday.
V. Lytvyn stated that the conclusion of the Constitutional Court is correct. "Judgments of the Constitutional Court are not to be appealed it is compulsory to be executed", he declared. According to V. Lytvyn, the attempts to skeptically evaluate the judges of the Constitutional court and their judgments prove "low level of culture."
V. Lytvyn deems it necessary to left the practice of "execrations", especially on the part of those that deem themselves fist class jurists. "In such a way we will never build the organizational system of our life. It is extremely important to act always in a legal way that is basing on arguments", the Head of the Parliament emphasised.
The judgment of the Constitutional Court, according to V. Lytvyn is extremely important, taking into the consideration the fact "this step proves that today we have totally illegal, antidemocratic election system." "Constitutional Court, in my opinion showed a preference to the personality of a People´s Deputy in comparison with the faction. It means the fact we are obliged to adopt the election code, based exclusively on acceptable and democratic election system", he is convinced.
He also stated that he did nit agree with "the artificial" subdivision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine into the coalition and opposition. "I am convinced that people must elect worthy representatives and for this they need mechanism how to elect them."
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine calls all the politicians not to interfere with the judicial system.
